Collaboration Protocol on Residence Permit Applications for International Students

The Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) have signed a “Collaboration Protocol on Residence Permit Applications for International Students”.

YÖK President Özvar: “Our aim is for international students from many different parts of the world who choose our country for higher education to obtain their legal documents in accordance with our country's hospitality, safely, and in an orderly and efficient manner.”

Minister of Interior, Yerlikaya: “This protocol will minimize bureaucratic processes in the workflow. With the protocol, cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and Higher Education Institutions will be enhanced in the residence permit application processes of international students.'"

What does this mean?

You can reapply for previously rejected student residence requests.

What is the deadline for the application?

You need to make this application by December 31, 2023.
